Pager Mode gives a non-stimulating vibration as long as the button is held for up to 12 seconds

Extendable Contact Points -- Select between 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch for longer coated dogs
User Expandable -- Buy it as a one-dog system and add up to 3 additional collars to control a total of 4 dogs from one transmitter with a button for each dog
This is Steve Snell with Gun Dog Supply. Today we're going to take a look at the Dogtra Edge. This is the Dogtra Edge. It's the newest collar from Dogtra. It is a one dog system that's expandable up to a total of four. It's one button per dog. So, your one dog is on the black, then you can add an orange, a green, and a blue collar at any time.
Has a couple of different functions that we haven't seen before, the biggest one being the light mode where it has a remote controlled light that allows you to flash and allows you to hold down and have a continuous light. It is set up where it has different colors. So you can have a white light, an orange light, a green light, and a blue light. So that way, if you've got four dogs on the ground you can tell the difference between them.
We're going to open up a one dog system and show you what you get. First off, you get a handy dandy case. Owner's manual, contact point wrench and extenders, transmitter, lanyard with belt clips attached. You get a clickable dial that you can switch out from your rheostat dial. Test light, collar receiver with a black strap, wall charger with a splitter so you can charge both pieces at the same time.
Works great for running multiple dogs. Easy to program colored collars with corresponding colored buttons on remote. Been a great product and a valuable tool in the field! Great first experience with gundog supply and dogtra.
Pros
Easy to use and understand with little effort.
Good range.
Quick charge.

Dogtra Quality!!
April 7, 2021
I bought this product to replace my 3500NCP that is no longer produced by Dogtra. I chose the Edge over the Edge RT because of the light and rheostat option and I personally was never a huge Tri-Tronics fan. I like not having to constantly change collars on all the dogs in my box, however you must be very careful to make sure your fingers do not wander to the wrong button in the heat of the moment..... I do miss the dedicated nick button that the old 3500NCP system had (My hands just can't move fast enough to roll the dial to nick). I feel that this product really excels in the upland dog category, however I run retrievers. But all in all, the receivers, transmitter and collar straps are the exceptional quality that I have always appreciated with Dogtra. And like most new tools, one will get very proficient with it over time.

Good Collars- Really Cheap Lanyard
March 19, 2021
The collars are good quality. The lanyard pulled apart at the crimp. Luckily, I felt it drop. Go to a hardware store and buy a really good lanyard. 4 stars due to this issue.
Pros
Decent quality.
Cons
Cheap lanyard

The one handed operation and the fast charging make this a great ecollar. The flashing lights that you can turn on to locate your dog early morning or late evening is a great safety bonus.

Nicely built. So far it has been hassle free. It was a toss up with the 550 Pro. It would have been nice to try them both out since the transmitters are configured differently, but I chose the ability to address multiple dogs at once instead of multiple functions.

So far after a month it is still great. Easy to use. The battery life is good. The only thing that would be nice would be a separate shock level for each collar. My 2 dogs are 20 pounds different in size, and one takes very little stimulation, and the other takes a lot more. If I stimulate the sensitive one with the other ones level, she screeches and cries.

Best e-collar I have ever used. I can even have double recievers on each k9, which helps out with using the built in led lights, it gives you one on each side of the k9. I have even tried it side by side with other top name units and the Edge worked even when my others didn't. It's a very good unit and at a better price than most of its competition.
