 My Collars
The "My Collars" screen is where you assign your collars with a matching color. You will also use this screen to "pair" the collar to the matching color. You will also activate the Ecollar portion if you have the Ecollar / tracking combination collars. You also use this section to "share" a collar. Sharing a collar is when you want to track someone else's collar on your handheld.
To access the My Collars screen, highlight the word and press the right arrow. The My Collars screen lists the 12 collar color options - Blue, Red, Green, Cyan, Brown, Magenta, Dark Blue, Dark Red, Dark Green, Lite Blue, Purple, and Pink.
Highlight the collar color that you want to use and press the right arrow. Then select the word Active and press the right arrow. This will make the color active. If your collar is a Ecollar / Tracking collar combo, use the arrow key to highlight the word E-Collar and then press the arrow to the right to activate the Ecollar portion.
Pair Collar
Highlight the word Pair Collar to match the collar to the color selection. To pair your collar to it’s matching color you must first put the tracking collar and ecollar into "pairing mode." To put the tracking collar into pairing mode press down the on / off collar button and hold it in. The light will immediately come on green and then go out. Continue to hold it in until the light comes back on. It should be an amber color. Repeat this with the Ecollar portion. Once both lights are Amber, highlight the word Pair Collar and press the right arrow. The collar lights will quickly flash green multiple times and then return to a slow flashing green. You collar is now paired with that color. To add the next color, simply repeat the process with your next collar.
Share Collar
Use this feature when you are wanting to track another person's dog collar on you handheld.
To track some one else's collar you must first activate the correct color. Next, highlight the word Share Collar and press the right arrow. The screen will now say "Share Collar: Y." Next you will need to enter the correct ID number and Dog number for the matching collar. You will get this information from the collar owner's handheld. Once you have that info, highlight the word ID and press the right arrow key. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the correct number. Once you have the number entered, set it by pressing the left arrow key.
Highlight the word Dog and press the right arrow key. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the correct number. Once you have the number entered, set it by pressing the left arrow key.
While you can track other folk's dogs using this method, you will not be able to use your handheld to correct them with the ecollar.
Please Note - The owner of the collar must NOT select the "share collar" option on his collars. Doing this will disable the owner's ability to use the Ecollar portion on his own collar. |
