SportDOG SD-425X/425XS Replacement Transmitter

After my dog chewed off the antenna of the transmitter, I ordered a replacement. It arrived promptly and by following the directions, I was able to link it to my previously purchased receptor collar. I was always hesitant to use a ecollar for my dog, but she was such a bad "counter surfer" and jumper, nothing I tried could break her of the behavior. Now after only a few weeks, with a low stimulus, her behavior has improved significantly. I use the collar judiciously, and only when I see the unwanted behavior, but it has been well worth the price.

I appreciate that Gun Dog Supply offers only the transmitter. I didn't lose the dog that was wearing the collar, just the transmitter. I appreciate the savings from being able to buy just the transmitter! Gun Dog is a great company. I got the order quickly and they included pairing instructions that worked seamlessly.

Worked great and was easy to pair.

My transmitter went bad so ordered a new one right before traveling and the second time charging it it didn't charge. We were already traveling by then. I reached out to customer service and they sent another one in a few days. Sent the defective one back. So far so good with the new one. Great people and customer service!

We had to order this because our add-a-collar didn't come with a transmitter. The transmitter arrived well-packaged (the shipping box is way too big though) within 3-5 days. It can with the transmitter and a lanyard. Be sure to have the transmitter settings and pairing instructions nearby to get up and running as well as a something firm to press in the rubber mode setting button on the back (perhaps a cell phone pin to release the sim card). Setting the mode is important because it will determine how the buttons will function when pressed (tone, vibrate, shock) and this is all notated in the owner instruction manual. To set the mode, set the transmitter dial to the proper number and push in the button the back with the firm pin. Pairing the device is mostly simple with setting the transmitter dial to the proper number, powering off the collar, and pushing any button to pair. We purchased ours to correct our dogs when they roam into cordoned areas. We flagged those areas just as you would for perimeter wiring, then used the corrective beep and/or shock. Behavior modified!

I ordered a replacement transmitter but it got lost in the mail. I called customer service and explained that I was leaving town in just a few days and really needed the transmitter. They overnighted a replacement to me at absolutely no charge! When I return home if the original replacement transmitter has arrived I will be returning it to them. This is the kind of great customer service that you just don't find any more.

We had previously purchased a collar/transmitter together. Our transmitter took a ride on the bobcat tire and was crushed. Ordered this new transmitter which delivered in only a couple days and was insanely easy to connect to my existing collar (seriously took less than 5 seconds to connect and we were good as new)

After 4 years, still unsure as to why our remote was no longer working. But, so glad that we were able to replace it without having to buy another transmitter too. It was delivered in a timely manner and we were able to pair it easily with our existing transmitter. Our dog responds very well to it.
