The first training video of its kind -- Smartwork In the Field -- is devoted to preparing successful hunt test retrievers at any level or venue, as well as the finished gun dog! Live-action hunting footage plus actual hunt test footage from major venues shows even folks new to dog training how to connect all the standard retriever skills into fully functioning retrievers "in the field," including upland work.
This video builds on Evan's original Smartwork Gundog Essentials and provides clear, easy-to-follow instructions to put basic and advanced skills to work, including multiple marks, blind retrieves -- land and water -- and much more. Also included are instructions on how to prepare to run tests, tune up your dog for hunting season, diversion mark training, and all you'll need to get the most from your retriever!
However, to allow ease of learning and a fuller understanding of the material, we provide a growing collection of video modules of the system. Each video module offers the most detailed and graphically illustrated explanation of the steps of development for your retriever available anywhere! We include all the sequential steps and tips you'll need to do your own training with your dog and develop him or her to the highest level you desire.
In addition, in future video productions we will be presenting even more instruction beyond that which is contained in our books. Handling, marking, practical hunting applications, and competition-based instruction are all proposed for future productions.
