These are tough rivets to find. I went to Fastenal, Ace, and Home Depot. None of them had these in stock. Even Petsmart where we initially bought the tags didn't have extra rivets, only those that came with the purchase of a new collar. Quick and easy. I bought enough for when I need to change out a rabies tag or if the collar gets too worn for a new one. Thanks for the quick shipment. Great store.

These two piece brass rivets work great. Just drill a hole through your collar, put brass name plate in place and then put each half of the rivet in place ( one from each side). Then place it on a solid work bench or on the anvil of your vice (the concrete garage floor works also) and give it a firm hit with a hammer. They mushroom out and form a strong, good looking fastener. The rivet on the inside of the collar ends up perfectly flush, so it won't be poking or rubbing on the dog's neck.

Purchased a Mud River collar from GDS in early 2014 with the brass nameplate already riveted in. My dog (as most hunting/working dogs are) is very hard on his collar and recently one of the rivets popped off. I ordered a set to replace the busted one because the collar was still in great shape so no need to replace the whole collar. It is a little more difficult to insert the new rivets than described. I only needed to replace one of the rivets and the package comes with 6. I ended up using 4 of the 6 in order to finally attach the nameplate again. I've purchased many things from GDS and will continue to support them.

Pack of 6 sets of Brass Jiffy Rivets. 12 pieces total. 5/16" tall, 7mm cap and 7mm eyelet. 3mm shaft fits a 3mm hole.
Instructions: All you need to fasten them is a hammer. Just put the stud part of the rivet through from the bottom.
Put the crown over the stud and hammer it closed on a hard surface (smooth concrete or steel). You should drive the 2 pieces of the
rivet together until the upper surface flattens out.
