Why Train Your Dog

Training your dog is a win/win/win situation.

If you have taken time to train a dog (or multiple dogs), you already know about all the benefits that you gain. It is a win/win/win situation. You gain a better-behaved dog, the dog thrives on the interaction, and your community has one less naughty or nuisance and untrained dog to worry about.

But if you've never really invested that time to train, you might wonder if it is worth the effort.

I'm here to tell you it is. It is worth every ounce of time and effort you put in. Through the past 20 years I've had so many people tell me they never really imagined how rewarding it would be to have a "trained" dog. They'd had dogs in the past and had what they considered good dogs or nice dogs, but until they experienced a trained dog, they really had not understood the difference.

The difference is two fold. Not only will you have a dog that you can enjoy far more because you now have a clear way to communicate with Fido, but you will develop a bond that you can't begin to imagine being without once you've walked that path together with your dog.

It is totally, completely worth it.

And it is not that hard to achieve a few basics that can get you through life with more ease and less stress.
